Abstract

The major objective of this study was to determine relationship of knowledgepotential on quality management practices under conditions of varying levels oftechnology fusion among SMEs in Uganda. Data were collected using crosssectionaland descriptive survey, which involved 210 SMEs selected fromCentral and Eastern regions of Uganda. Correlations, hierarchical regressionmodels and a mod-graph were used in the analysis. Results revealed thatinfluence of knowledge management potential on quality management practices varies with level of technology fusion among SMEs in Uganda. Furthermore,there exists a positive and significant relationship between knowledgemanagement potential and quality management practices among SMEs.   Basedon findings, it is imperative for managers to create an environment that supportsknowledge management systems for sustainable operations in today ' s dynamicenvironment. Besides, there is need to re-tool their employees with moderntechnological applications so as to achieve firms ' strategic objectives.
