On the Field-Induced Infra-Red Absorption of GaAs
Abstract
A theoretical survey of electric field–induced effects on one-and two-phonon absorption of GaAs is presented. The eigen-values and hence eigen-vectors are calculated for an external field applied along [001] and dependence of electro–absorption on the direction of radiation polarization established.
